Tropenhaus Frutigen

Panofina
Panofina is synonymous with high-quality Swiss bakery and confectionery products. Its modern industrial bakeries occupy 5 locations across Switzerland, with 2 integrated patisseries and an additional 75 in-store bakeries in Coop supermarkets. Each year, around 70 000 tonnes of bakery and confectionery products are produced by 1 110 employees.


Reismühle Nutrex
Each year, Reismühle Nutrex produces over 13 000 tonnes of rice in 80 different varieties from around the world, and more than 10 million litres of 58 types of vinegar. Already, more than two thirds of the rice and one third of the vinegar are from environmentally friendly and sustainable cultivation. In terms of sustainable production, Reismühle Nutrex is the European market leader for rice and the Swiss market leader for vinegar. Every year, Reismühle Nutrex supplies over 2.5 million people with rice and 7 million with vinegar.


Pearlwater
Pearlwater bottles around 100 million litres of mineral water and soft drinks every year, including the Coop own-label brands "Swiss Alpina", "Aquina" and "Prix Garantie". The water that forms the basis of all its beverages comes from five unique mineral springs in the Valais Alps. Pearlwater protects the environment around the springs and safeguards their water reserves in the long term through targeted action, such as landscape conservation and regular inspections of the mineral spring protection zones.


Vina Raurica
Vina Raurica vinifies must from nine Swiss cantons. Wines from all over the world are refined, aged, bottled and packaged. Vina Raurica collaborates globally with 180 business partners. Its site in Pratteln has 25 employees. Vina Raurica is the largest winery in Switzerland, filling around 36 million bottles/units a year.


Banana ripening plant
The banana ripening plant produces 28 000 tonnes of bananas each year, and packages them along with around 2 300 tonnes of pineapple and 3 000 tonnes of kiwi as well as dried fruits and nuts. The plant is one of the most technically and environmentally advanced in Europe
